I am now a Postdoctoral Fellow at NCEM, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, co-supervised by Prof. Andrew Minor, Prof. Mark Asta and Prof. Robert Ritchie. Before that, I received my PhD degree from the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT, under the supervision of Prof. Ju Li. Also, I was lucky to have the guidance from Prof. Frances Ross (MIT), Prof. Michael Short (MIT), and Dr. Huolin Xin (UCI), who are my thesis committee members.
I will join the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics (ESM) and the Materials Research Institute (MRI) at Pennsylvania State University as an assistant professor in 2021. Please contact me if you are interested in getting a PhD degree in my group.
One of my research interests is in-situ TEM studies of the degradation of structural materials under mechanical deformation, corrosion and radiation damage. Also, I am working on the development and application of a full-3D Monte Carlo (MC) simulation code for ion radiation in matter, i.e., IM3D. More details can be found in the Research and Publications pages.
